This position ensures the worldwide application of competitive pay and benefits methodologies, assesses programs, trends, and/or new technologies, and suggests enhancements and modifications. Additionally, the Senior Analyst formulates recommendations concerning the development of base pay structures through job design and evaluation, as well as the improvement of benefits offerings to cater to employee needs. This role operates with minimal oversight and provides solutions to challenges based on global policies and market practices.

  • This position will consistently interact with management and staff in Compensation, the Global Compensation team, Benefits, internal HR divisions, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client groups and management contacts while understanding the business needs of each client area.
  • Uphold sound practices in job pricing and fostering a pay-for-performance culture.
  • Present tools and training to HR Business Partners and leaders, empowering them to take ownership of the process and decisions.
  • Recommend modifications to processes and policies.
  • Provide analyses and supporting documentation for proposals, including annual review increases and structural adjustments.
  • Implement policy and practice decisions, including facilitating the annual adjustment process with client groups.
  • Keep salary administration software updated, which may involve participating in salary surveys.
  • Evaluate existing benefit plans and propose recommendations for enhancements or changes.
  • Undertake other special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of current and relevant experience in compensation; prior global and corporate experience preferred.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel (formulas, vlookups, mail merge, etc.) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in multiple compensation practice areas is preferred (for example, broad-based pay, variable/long-term incentive compensation, and equity compensation).
  • Foundational compensation design expertise and program knowledge in multiple practice areas (for example, benchmarking, job evaluations, career progression, market research, survey benchmarking, and performance management) is preferred.
  • Compensation experience in a large, complex, publicly traded organization is preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency and acumen for understanding Business Unit goals and administering appropriate compensation solutions and guidance that best aligns with Mattel's overall HR and people strategy.
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills with proven capability to communicate findings clearly and concisely for various audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience using market pricing tools in a global environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and running queries and reports from a human resources information system, preferably Workday.
