Lead Analyst for FP&A and Residuals Reporting

Your Role...
As an integral part of the FP&A Center of Excellence, you will play a crucial role in the Residuals ultimates reporting process for various media formats, ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. Your responsibilities will encompass the following:
Residuals and Participation Reporting
- Conduct monthly calculations and analyses of residuals ultimates for Television, Theatrical, and Home Entertainment products.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated models to compute ultimate residuals, ensuring accuracy through thorough review of agreements on a title-by-title basis.
- Prepare and refine residuals models, utilizing advanced Excel techniques and SAP for precise calculations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide essential residuals ultimates for various reporting cycles.
- Deliver insightful analytical reports to Senior Management, addressing inquiries related to participation reporting.
- Update and validate the residuals control log monthly, ensuring the latest data is utilized for accurate calculations.
- Review model setups and calculations with Corporate Residuals teams to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure that necessary system adjustments are made to produce reliable costing results, including maintenance of costing classes and attributes.
- Liaise with Corporate Residuals groups and Business Unit personnel as needed.
- Establish and communicate procedures for departments providing data for residuals ultimates.
- Analyze and adjust ultimates to ensure accurate costing functions.
- Scrutinize by-title costing results to validate financial reporting accuracy across all planning cycles.
Essential Qualifications...
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is required (including spreadsheets, pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros).
- Experience with SAP BW/BPS is preferred.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, with the ability to maintain attention to detail while understanding broader implications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements is necessary.
Experience Requirements...
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or forecasting environment is required.
- Previous experience in public accounting or the entertainment sector is preferred.
- A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
