About the Role

A challenging opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Monitoring Expert to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our IS Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's vision and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions in a distributed setup, leveraging expertise in tools such as Checkmk, ScienceLogic, ELK, Nagios, and others.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization, databases, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise related to monitors/service checks setup in the tool for respective technologies.
  • Utilize scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash, and other languages to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in AIOps (Moogsoft, BigPanda, ServiceNow) and Cloud platforms (MS Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve consumer experience.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in monitoring, data analysis, and visualization tools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Master's Degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure monitoring and management.
  • 2 years of experience in technical solutions for monitoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with best-in-class monitoring, data analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Deep understanding of consumer needs and expectations.
  • MCSE, RHCE, VCP, or other technical certifications preferred.
  • Any certification related to monitoring tools will be considered an asset.
  • ITIL and Lean Certifications will be considered an asset.
