Maintenance Manager Job Description

As a core member of the Technical Function team, the Maintenance Manager is a proven leader to oversee the Maintenance department in our location in Reynosa, Mexico (US$ 400 million revenue). The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company's facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum efficient operations of our machinery and equipment as well as monitoring the safety of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions.
  • Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor the cost effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team.
  • Liaise with managers throughout the company to coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with their operations.
  • Prepare work orders and monitor the progress of work against estimates.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff so repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge and technical understanding of machines and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, use hands and/or fingers, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds amid a moderate work environment.
  • Ability to work on tasks at varying heights.
  • Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in implementation and maintaining programs to ensure that the plant meets company requirements for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • 15+ years of experience in maintenance and management in a manufacturing environment is required.

This position reports to the Technical Function Manager in Reynosa, Mexico. Position may require some travel to vendor sites as well as between Landis+Gyr locations to meet with project teams, external partners, and/or business customers.
