Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our team in Ciudad de México. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and updating project plans to meet contractual and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, optimize, and update project plans during the sales phase and project execution.
  • Support project managers and lead planners in scheduling-related issues, both internally and externally with customers.
  • Periodically update, follow up, analyze, and submit project assignments and their respective project portfolios.
  • Obtain data on project progress, logistics, and manpower from project managers, contractors, or other project personnel.
  • Integrate, optimize, update, and deal with contractors' project plans to achieve contractual/baseline schedules.
  • Critical path analysis and support project managers in taking actions to improve and optimize construction project plans.
  • Provide portfolio visibility to management and support the preparation of the project steering committee.
  • Assist the contract manager with contract clauses and claims submittals.
  • Visit construction sites to improve project control.
  • In collaboration with finance, align and update the timing of cash and revenue recognition.
  • Write and present formal and technical reports or working papers to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering and Construction-related degrees.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated industry/construction applicable experience in project planning and control discipline, knowledge of construction and supply process improvement, and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in construction EPC projects is welcomed.
