Micron Technology, a global leader in innovating memory and storage solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Employee Relations Strategy Manager to join our team in North America.

About the Role:

The Senior Employee Relations Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing and directing employee relations strategies, influencing local leaders in the thought process, and ensuring consistent application of ER processes by Micron.

This key role involves leading or overseeing workplace investigations, responding to employee issues, grievances, and disputes, providing ER expertise, consultation, and market insights on labor environments, and advising People Organization partners on people management challenges.

The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of work experience relevant to Employee Relations, preferably in manufacturing or technology sectors, with exposure to Mexico and US industries. Direct experience in labor relations, strong understanding of Mexican and US labor law and practices, and proven ability to conduct effective negotiations are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct employee relations strategies, influencing local leaders in the thought process
  • Lead or oversee workplace investigations in accordance with ER's global investigation policy and process
  • Respond to employee issues, grievances, and disputes, escalating as required, and ensure appropriate communication and documentation
  • Provide ER expertise, consultation, and market insights regarding labor environments in Mexico and North America
  • Advise People Organization partners, employees, and business leadership on people management challenges, policies, procedures, and employment laws
  • Partner with global business people partners and centers of excellence to provide guidance and recommendations on resolving team member issues
  • Work with the Legal department to effectively manage team member issues
  • Conduct relevant leader trainings and plan, execute, and monitor team member separations, severance, and restructuring activities
  • Provide leadership and support in labor union relations, staying updated on local trends, industry issues, and government priorities

Requirements:

  • Eight years of work experience relevant to Employee Relations, preferably in manufacturing or technology sectors
  • DIRECT experience in labor relations, with a strong understanding of Mexican and US labor law and practices
  • Critical thinking skills, keen sense of urgency, independent decision making, exacting standards of compliance, and passion about doing the right thing for the company and its people
  • Strong people skills, good command of written and spoken English, effective communication skills, and ability to influence and build trusting relationships
  • Able to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and appropriately manage conflict

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management and driving programs both collaboratively and independently
  • Proficient in case management tools such as EthicsPoint, ServiceNow, or similar
