Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our Procurement/Supply Chain Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for providing direct oversight for supplier risk assessment, mitigation, and event response processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and scale the supply chain event response program to meet the needs of the global organization.
  • Participate in operational supply chain risk management work, including event triage and response orchestration, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
  • Track events through their lifecycle and ensure transparent communication of status to leaders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks/challenges affecting event/incident resolution and/or other program initiatives.
  • Ensure adoption and consistent use of established processes.
  • Collaborate on program KPI reporting.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation.
  • Drive automation and process improvements.
  • Develop and deploy training as needed.
  • Report updates on progress toward program goals and the progress of program participants against committed promises.
  • Support with research and analytics.
  • Participate in development of risk models, KRIs, and controls.
  • Track project deliverables and progress, escalate issues to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferable with business or operations focus) required; MBA preferred.
  • Previous systems/operations experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge experience in the Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement or related environment, experience in risk management techniques required.
  • Experience with disaster/event management software and tools strongly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral in English.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or a certification in Third Party Risk Management preferred.
