ZF is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant-Contador Nominas to join our Shared Services team in Monterrey, Mexico. This is a temporary position that requires a strong background in payroll processing and compliance with Mexican Federal and State laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll calculations and ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage timesheet data entry and special payroll processes, including Christmas bonus, profit sharing, and saving fund calculations.
- Run reports and distribute payroll to employees, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Review earnings, deductions, and benefits calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide support to ZF plants and employees regarding payroll and individual payslips.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican Federal and State laws regarding payroll, including submission of information to tax agencies.
- Calculate and prepare payroll taxes, including SUA, State, and Federal taxes.
- Experience using the SUA program and employees' annual tax return calculations.
- Communicate effectively with various levels of operating unit and headquarters personnel.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are up-to-date and documented, and provide excellent customer service to ZF operating units and corporate finance.
Requirements
- Accounting, Administration, or Finance degree.
- 1-2 years of payroll process experience.
- 70-90% bilingual English/Spanish.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding customer service and continuous improvement skills.
- Knowledge of People Soft, SAP, and QAD systems preferred.
- Very good computer skills using MS Office.
- Strong experience in internal controls.
- High legal and ethical standards.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
