Strategic Wholesale Planner

As a Strategic Wholesale Planner, you will partner with wholesale and merchandising teams to develop and manage comprehensive business strategies that drive sales, optimize inventory investment, and generate profit by account.
You will be responsible for managing the Open-to-Buy, building financial plans, and performing analysis to support the sales plan.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, inventory turn goals, and minimize excess inventory for both the company and account.
- Developing bottom-up sales and inventory plans based on Customer sell-out trend, channel inventory levels, informing financial decisions inclusive of product mix, AIR, AUC, turn, Receipt Flow, and Markdown vs. Reg Selling.
- Creating and distributing weekly and monthly business recaps vs. plan and forecast, with emphasis on performance drivers and issues with solutions and influence highlighted.
- Using historical data to identify essential insights around product, pricing, and inventory and apply insights to future seasons.
- Recommending promotional pricing that maximizes sales and margin and balances inventory.
- Determining markdown and end-of-life disposition strategies for non-go forward products.
- Managing reconciliation between bottom-up plans and tops-down targets.
- Collaborating with Merchants to manage product life-cycle.
- Supporting Planning Leadership to recommend profitable inventory decisions and take on additional tasks as needed.
- Conducting quantitative analysis to increase line profitability—monetizing new opportunities and identifying risks.
- Performing analysis of seasons' financial and assortment performance to develop next season's inventory plans.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of working experience in a similar role (preferably in a retail environment).
We are looking for someone with:
- Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAS).
- Strong analytical/problem-solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal, and marketplace information.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced English Level.
