Job Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines to facilitate swift and dependable deployments.
  • Establish and manage cloud infrastructure and deployment methodologies.
  • Address incidents promptly, diagnose issues, and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of cloud solutions.
  • Enforce and uphold security best practices within cloud environments, including access controls, encryption, and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Remain informed about the latest industry trends and technologies, and propose tools to enhance reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical consulting to development teams to align with overarching design principles.
  • Architect, deploy, collaborate on, and manage cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
  • Document processes, systems, and configurations to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand their needs and integrate new deployment processes and strategies.
  • Manage configuration drift and ensure uniformity across environments.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cloud computing, DevOps, and Platform Engineering, continuously refining processes and workflows.
  • Balance the need for reliability with the pace of feature development.
  • Mentor and guide team members.

Background & Skills

To excel as a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer at Danfoss, you will be responsible for enabling reliable, scalable, and adaptable solutions. Your role will involve taking charge of the technical foundations of the cloud environment and assisting in the development of a robust platform capable of scaling to meet global business demands.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cloud DevOps Engineer role or similar.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security practices and experience with security tool integration.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud services and platforms (AWS, Azure & GCP), including their service-oriented architecture and APIs.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Proficient in system monitoring and logging solutions using cloud-native tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
  • Passionate about developing impactful cloud technologies for the organization.
  • Agile mindset with proficiency in agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Proactive in identifying and communicating issues, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Experience working within a global team and organization.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
