Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business trends and benchmark competitors to inform partnership strategies.
  • Strengthen relationships with key executives at partner organizations and internal stakeholders.
  • Track and measure the value generated from Marriott's partnerships.
  • Proactively identify, secure, and optimize highly valued marketing opportunities with current partners and research and analyze opportunities with potential new partners.
  • Use a total account management approach to work with internal and external stakeholders across disciplines such as Global Partnerships, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, and Operations.
  • Communicate effectively with various management-level associates throughout the organization, understand internal stakeholder business objectives and constraints, represent partner interests, and manage expectations accordingly.

Expected Contributions

  • Create and oversee partner promotion campaigns with the Digital and Revenue Management teams.
  • Act as Marriott's day-to-day point of contact for partners, including leading the management of Preferred Partnerships in CALA.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of partner objectives, strategies, and organization, and a strong working knowledge of all relevant contracts, agreements, and obligations.
  • Broaden and strengthen business relationships with partners to leverage the partnership across the enterprise and other business units.
  • Audit all partner channels to check that Marriott information is correct, identify what other partner brands are doing with the partner, and identify additional opportunities to leverage with the partner.
  • Provide ongoing support to internal stakeholders in identifying opportunities, negotiating, developing, and measuring joint marketing programs with assigned partners.
  • Analyze and interpret partner (and Marriott) data to identify trends and opportunities to inform future partner strategies and activities.
  • Track and measure the value to Marriott of each partner, according to specific partnership evaluation scorecard.
  • Elevate awareness and effectively communicate the benefits and obligations of existing Partnership Agreements across the Corporation and the hotels.
  • Strategic planning, developing, and executing comprehensive partnership strategies to drive revenue growth, position the Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty program through the partnerships, and align initiatives with internal teams with overall business goals.
  • Help develop the partner activation plan and manage its day-to-day implementation, including project management of joint initiatives, communications planning, budget management, and regular partner status updates.
  • Work with relevant global stakeholders (Loyalty, Global Partnerships) to secure appropriate resource to support partner activities in the region.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual competitor analysis to identify what Marriott's competitors are doing in CALA in partnerships.
  • Support the Director of Partnerships in proactively identifying and evaluating potential partnership opportunities aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify key industry trends.
  • Act as the first point of contact for any new potential partnership inquiries, filtering proposals according to agreed criteria, identifying promising opportunities, and responding to the proposer in a timely manner.
  • Support hotels and clusters with partnership requests as appropriate.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in relationship management, business development, or partner marketing, with strong interpersonal skills and negotiation, communication, planning, and analytical skills.
