Job Description

As a Procurement Business Process Consultant at CEMEX, you will collaborate with the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) and Global Engineering Solutions (GES) to understand and analyze business requirements related to Procurement processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing Procurement processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design, standardize, and optimize Procurement processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve Procurement initiatives.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements as needed based on SLA results.
  • Negotiate with GES, Procurement, vendors, and SMEs on ServiceNow proposals, complex projects, and changes.

Position Challenges

  • Assess and recommend processes and institutional platforms' best practices to procurement User Experience.
  • Establish and ensure process governance model adherence by Procurement and GES.
  • Design and propose new ways of working on RPA and AI.
  • Determine ServiceNow Procurement Module global roadmap for GES and all Procurement towers.
  • Plan and define ServiceNow Procurement annual budget in coordination with GES strategy.
  • Supervise ServiceNow Procurement adoption.
  • Coordinate internal and external multidisciplinary teams to ensure processes' standardization and optimization.
  • Lead user satisfaction meetings with Procurement Operations to enable continuous improvement in Procurement processes.
  • Supervise suppliers' performance and audit support.

Qualifications

Capabilities

  • ServiceNow Procurement modules functional knowledge and technical understanding.
  • Ability to map out, design, and propose changes in Procurement processes, considering efficiency, effectiveness, and standardization.
  • Analytical abilities to assess existing processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements based on information gathered.
  • Skills to facilitate change within Procurement and GES, including communication, training, and addressing resistance.
  • Project management skills to lead or contribute to Procurement (P2P) projects, ensuring they are delivered on time.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders, orchestrate, and deliver results.
  • Capability to develop and deliver training programs for end-users, Procurement, Suppliers, and Operators.
  • Proactive mindset for seeking opportunities for continuous improvement in Procurement P2P processes, looking and staying updated on industry best practices.
  • Manage multiple teams to achieve the desired objectives and maintain alignment to the defined governance.

Experience

7+ years in Procurement, 2 years in ServiceNow, and 2 years of leading teams.

Educational Background

  • Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Master's Degree (MBA) desired.
