Baxter, a leading healthcare company, is embarking on a transformative journey to separate its $5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company, Vantive. This strategic move will leverage our nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis to provide best-in-class care to patients worldwide.

As a Product Owner - Digital Product Development, you will become part of a community of innovators who are driven to improve patients' lives. Your role will be instrumental in defining and supporting the development of valuable, feasible, viable, and usable products that meet customer needs over the lifecycle of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define product roadmaps for assigned products, working closely with customers and Product Managers to understand and communicate their needs.
  • Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers, other IT customers, and SMEs to define how technology can enable business processes, drive business value, and improve KPIs.
  • Responsible for setting plans and goals for products and teams, presenting and building consensus to meet established outcomes.
  • Plan product implementation to improve value, accountable for prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups.
  • Identify potential technology options, complete IT cost assessments, and provide support for IT architecture resources as needed.
  • Define features, prioritize with Product Managers, and ensure a constant flow of value creation.
  • Accountable for delivering features as prioritized by Product Managers, with constant advisement on value versus effort and fit to the roadmap.
  • Play a lead role in process governance, harmonizing processes and system solutions whenever possible.
  • Innovate through research and prototyping, driving the development and adoption of next-generation technologies and business practices.
  • Work with technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and enablers in line with functional and non-functional requirements and process flows.
  • Integrate upcoming enabler work, such as architecture, data privacy, security, regulatory, and compliance, into the backlog with Product Managers.
  • Leverage survey results, user interviews, data/analytics, and insights to continuously improve and scale products and employ product strategies.
  • Participate in team demos and retrospectives, report progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes.
  • Support internal change management teams and external marketing teams to drive adoption and deliver products to market.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with greater than 5 years of experience in digital/technical product ownership.
  • Prior experience with commercial products, such as customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting, and pricing.
  • Prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles.
  • Understanding of the SAFe (Agile at scale) approach is a plus.
  • Skills in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery.
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience in working in regulated environments, such as privacy and compliance.
  • Design thinking awareness and prior usage strongly preferred.
  • Proven digital/technical skills foundation.
  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other IT teams and global senior leadership.
