We are seeking a skilled Service Coordinator to join our team at Volunteers of America Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for providing housing assistance and service provision for residents in our affordable housing portfolio.
About the RoleThe Service Coordinator will work directly with residents to identify their needs and provide personalized support. This may include conducting needs-based assessments, community outreach, case management services, and connecting residents with income resources and public benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify resident requirements
- Provide case management services to ensure residents receive necessary support
- Collaborate with community partners to expand opportunities and resources for residents
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and eligibility information
- Participate in trainings, education programs, and staff meetings as required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field
- At least one year of experience working with senior citizens and/or people with disabilities
- Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using Windows environment and databases
Prior experience in mental health is preferred, as well as bilingualism in a language represented in the resident community (Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, or Spanish).
BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive salary of $43,200 - $44,800 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include paid holidays, time off, tuition assistance, pension and 403b retirement plan, health, dental, vision, pet insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, long-term disability, employee assistance/work-life balance program, and employee discount program.
LocationThis position will be placed in various affordable housing properties across Colorado.
