Position Overview: Junior Systems Engineer

As a vital member of the operational support team, your primary duties will involve minimizing customer disruptions, identifying root causes of issues, and executing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role as a Junior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing customer inquiries of moderate complexity.
  • Evaluating the extent of impact on services.
  • Reducing customer disruption and implementing temporary solutions.
  • Executing problem resolution based on established documentation.
  • Collaborating with team members and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Providing guidance or training to users regarding system functionalities and troubleshooting.
  • Actively monitoring both production and non-production environments.
  • Conducting root cause analysis for simpler system and application issues.
  • Engaging in smaller projects that require specialized knowledge.
  • Participating in planning sessions with team colleagues.
  • Managing multiple priorities with appropriate support.
  • Assisting in the preparation of updates regarding customer issues or projects.
  • Regularly sharing insights and knowledge with the team.
  • Performing tasks in accordance with established standards.
  • Making general modifications to system documentation and proposing enhancements.
  • Contributing to technical planning and solution development.

Candidate Profile:
You may be an ideal candidate if you possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT infrastructure support, Application & Cloud Services.
  • 1 year of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in Windows, UNIX, or Storage administration is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of ITIL processes with relevant accreditation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with global teams and senior management.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
