About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Operations Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of our research and development programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and ensuring the successful execution of our breeding operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Compile and propose plans for R&D programs, including nurseries, hand-cross production, isolation production, observations, and DHs.
- Manage budgets and investments for the R&D center.
- Lead and coach a team of professionals, including a full-time team and seasonal staff.
- Monitor and report progress to corporate level, identifying deviations from plans and making recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in administrative and legal tasks necessary for the R&D center.
- Co-lead breeding operations continuous improvement processes.
- Several years of experience in a breeding seed company or agronomic company.
- Good knowledge of crop production, seed, and farming practices, as well as equipment operation.
- Team leadership skills, including coaching and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
- Autonomy and rigor in work.
- Willingness to work in an international context.
- Driving license.
