**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Category Manager to lead our strategic buying efforts and drive cost savings across our spend categories. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize savings and secure Total Cost of Ownership reductions.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Lead a team of strategic buyers to challenge demand and specifications, and drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category

• Develop and execute strategies through the strategic sourcing process for specific categories of spend areas

• Oversee the process to select and manage suppliers, and measure and track internal performance within each spend category

• Drive strategy implementation and monitor progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed

• Develop expertise in the category spend categories, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions and implement process improvements

• Analyze data to drive business decisions, and develop and implement data-driven strategies to drive cost savings

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms

• Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively

**Requirements**

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Engineering (highly preferred)

• 15+ years of experience in procurement, with a track record of driving change and delivering results

• Previous experience in category management required, with a strong understanding of spend categories and procurement processes

• Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to read and manage data to drive business decisions

• Experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies and Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing training and certification preferred

• Supply Chain Certification (i.e., CPM, CPIM, etc.) preferred

• Strong negotiating skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and outstanding influencing and cross-functional skills
