We are seeking a customer service representative to support incoming customer service projects for General Electric Home Appliances. The position requires handling incoming and outgoing contacts in a courteous, timely, and professional manner. Ensuring resolution in the first call through problem-solving and effective call management is also key. Investigating systems to find missing information when necessary, coordinating with other departments to resolve problems, documenting client complaints accurately, and processing them in the appropriate systems are all essential responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming and outgoing contacts in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
  • Ensure resolution in the first call through problem-solving and effective call management.
  • Investigate systems to find missing information when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve problems.
  • Document client complaints accurately and process them in the appropriate systems.
  • Leverage knowledge bases and training to respond accurately to customer inquiries following all guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Meet requirements related to confidential information and personal data.
  • Escalate customer issues to the appropriate personnel or managers for resolution when necessary.

Qualifications

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You must have excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • You must be able to write quickly and accurately (over 20 words per minute).
  • You must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • You must have a basic understanding of the Windows operating system.
  • You must be highly reliable, with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • You must be able to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues.
  • You must have conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • You must be customer-focused (empathetic, receptive, patient, and detail-oriented).
  • You must be able to multitask, stay focused, and self-manage.
  • You must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to establish relationships with your team and customers.
  • You must be able to read and speak English fluently.
