Job Overview



Trouw Nutrition is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Advisor Lead to join our team in $90,000 - $110,000 per annum. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance at our manufacturing sites.



About You

We are looking for a seasoned HSE professional with a strong track record of leadership and experience in managing HSE systems, policies, and procedures. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.



Your expertise in risk management, incident investigation, and audit management will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential hazards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.



Key Responsibilities


  • Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and direction to the HSE team, promoting a positive safety culture and empowering employees to take ownership of HSE responsibilities.
  • HSE Policy, Plans & Standards: Develop and implement site-specific HSE policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring alignment with Nutreco's global standards and best practices.
  • Risk Management, Inspection & Audits: Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Training & Advice: Deliver training programs and provide guidance to employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • HSE Tools and Systems, Reporting & Analysis: Manage and maintain local HSE systems, reporting, and analysis to ensure accurate data-driven decision-making.
  • Incidents and Investigations: Investigate incidents, develop corrective actions, and conduct follow-up activities to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Projects: Participate in various HSE improvement projects, contributing to the development of site-specific solutions and recommendations.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Communicate HSE policies, procedures, and best practices to employees, management, and external stakeholders, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.


Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of strong environmental and/or safety experience in the manufacturing operations.
  • Nebosh General/International Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
  • Confirmed ability to deliver processes effectively to optimize business resources.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Basic business acumen and the ability to partner and communicate effectively with employees and business counterparts.
