About the Role

This position reports directly to the SBA Portfolio Servicing Manager and is responsible for monitoring and servicing the Bank's government-guaranteed loan portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and reviewing servicing requests, default actions, and annual loan reviews in compliance with SBA/USDA SOP and Umpqua Bank policies.
  • Preparing written credit memos, loan status reports, modifications, cash flow analysis, and risk rating recommendations.
  • Handling technical loan functions, reviewing and monitoring commercial and/or real estate loan documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Working directly with customers and authorized third parties to obtain necessary information and clarification for loan actions and financial analysis.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other relevant regulations.
  • Cultivating a positive example for others and embracing the company's vision to become the Business Bank of Choice.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Commercial or SBA Lending and/or Portfolio Management or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience in Commercial or SBA Lending and/or Portfolio Management.
  • Advanced underwriting skills and understanding of credit policy and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of government-guaranteed products, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to exercise sound business judgment, and effective communication skills.

Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $77,680 - $130,000, depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and location.
