Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Global Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities, while also driving business growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Team Leadership**: Lead a team of processors and checkers to ensure accurate transaction processing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • **Process Improvement**: Develop and implement procedures to ensure production quality and financial performance.
  • **Change Management**: Implement change programs, system development, and enhancements as directed by the Functional Manager.
  • **Operational Procedures**: Develop and implement operational procedures in accordance with the Business Services Operating Model.
  • **Regulatory Compliance**: Manage and supervise the execution of regulatory reporting controls and quality.
  • **Trade Lifecycle**: Supervise the trade lifecycle for all Back Office products, including FX, Securities, and Derivatives.
  • **Risk Management**: Execute supervision and controls around booking, settlement, and payment procedures.
  • **Validation and Reconciliation**: Execute validations and reconciliations around cash management, settlements, payments, and securities positions.
  • **End-to-End Processing**: Execute controls and validations around end-to-end processing for markets products, including affirmation, confirmation, settlements, and accounting.
  • **Post-Trade Lifecycle**: Supervise the post-trade lifecycle.
  • **Tax Reporting**: Supervise and manage tax reporting.
  • **Incident Management**: Escalate properly any possible incident or issue.

Requirements

  • **Education**: A degree in Business or Finance would be preferred.
  • **Experience**: 3-5 years of investment banking experience would be recommended.
  • **People Management**: Proven track record in people management and running global teams, with experience of 3-5 years required.
  • **Market Knowledge**: Understanding of Asian and European markets for settlements operations.
  • **Methodologies**: A firm understanding, supported by accreditation, of LEAN and 6 Sigma methodologies.
  • **Equity Products**: Strong understanding and knowledge of Equity products is preferred.
  • **Front-to-Back Trade Lifecycle**: Able to demonstrate adequate understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle process, stock lending product, operational risks, procedures, and controls.
  • **Technology**: Familiar working knowledge of associated technology.
