Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Area Sales Manager. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share expansion in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve exceptional sales results and market share growth.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform sales decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, and growers to drive product preference and sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to stay up-to-date on product offerings and market trends.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain a project database to track sales progress and customer interactions.
  • Provide superior customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • 7+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of selling high-value products in Mexico.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and business skills.
  • Motivated, results-oriented, and self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic thinking, and detailed planning.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or graduate degree.
  • Previous experience in the agricultural irrigation industry with knowledge of Rain Bird products and applications.
  • Experience with wholesale distribution, business-to-business sales, irrigation design and installation, or agricultural operations.
