Sales Leadership Role
The Area Sales team at Vishay plays a crucial part in providing value-added services to customers in assigned regions. Key responsibilities include selling products and services from assigned VISHAY businesses, analyzing market conditions, and building effective networks of stakeholders. Additionally, team members identify lead opportunities, negotiate proposals, and coordinate the realization of assignments. They also implement business and product marketing campaigns as necessary. As a point of contact for customers in all commercial matters, team members ensure that VISHAY is perceived as a global market leader with excellent and leading-edge products and services. In some regions, team members are also responsible for addressing quality issues with clients, clarifying issues, and initiating solutions. A manager at this level leads a dedicated local sales team in a territory and takes responsibility for clearly defined budgets, sales targets, and measures. They manage sales processes, ensure sales staff follows guidelines, and manage stakeholder and customer contacts or claims accountably as the first escalation instance. The manager applies all standards and aligns local sales processes or procedures when necessary.
