About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Counsel to join our team at Deutsche Bank. As a key member of our Legal function, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and guidance to our business operations and global financial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advisory and guidance to our Investment Bank's Broker-Dealer Operations in Mexico, including coverage, origination product teams, and contract negotiation and execution with clients.
  • Support Corporate Governance activities, including supporting the Corporate Secretary of the Board of Directors and Committees such as Audit and Compensation.
  • Act as a Legal single point of contact for Emerging Markets business with a nexus to Mexico & Latin America, coordinating all legal matters associated with the operation of the business.
  • Coordinate litigation matters related to the local legal entity, working with external counsels and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide legal counseling to other business lines and officers in Mexico and around the world, for legal topics related to Mexico domiciled clients.
  • Act as the first point of contact and initial legal advisor for infrastructure teams, such as Operations, Finance, HR, Real estate, etc.
Requirements
  • Solid legal expertise in financial entities, with background in the legal background ruling the operations of such entities. A Law degree and a valid license to practice law in Mexico is required.
  • Experience in negotiating Master Agreements for Trading with financial derivative products (ISDA/CMOF).
  • Experience in emerging markets businesses and products globally.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across multiple jurisdictions, and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required (Portuguese is a plus).
