About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Vendor Manager International Expansion to join our team in Mexico City, DIF, MEX. As a key member of our International Expansions team, you will be responsible for driving our direct import business for emerging countries.

In this role, you will have end-to-end business ownership of the import supply chain processes from manufacturer to the availability in our Fulfillment Centers. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing inventory management strategies to optimize customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Educating vendors on new country opportunities
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors to grow and optimize the joint import business
  • Developing and improving vendor relations and import sourcing for cost savings and new selection
  • Working with key stakeholders around the world to maintain alignment
  • Driving integration between new vendors and Amazon supply chain, product compliance and merchandising processes
  • Contributing to the development of best practices and contract standards
  • Monitoring, analyzing and owning key performance indicators such as vendor import share, out of stock rate, vendor operational metrics, marketing investments
  • Working with vendors and Amazon operations to ensure a reliable, operational and cost-effective flow of goods, from ordering to receive
  • Working with internal teams to understand the systems and variables that affect purchasing and vendor management decisions
  • Leading projects and regular business improvement initiatives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience with Excel
  • 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required
  • Fluent in both, English and Spanish
