Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Localization Team Manager to join our team at Localizationacademy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our subtitling team and providing effective guidance to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement workflows applicable to the project and team to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Determine internal team capacity and assist with schedule management to meet project deadlines.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external resources to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture to foster creativity and innovation.
  • Set clear team goals and ensure achievement to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines to appropriate team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and offer solutions to meet the required client satisfaction.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Motivate team members to achieve their full potential and provide coaching to new and existing team members.
  • Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments to motivate team members.
  • Encourage creativity and risk-taking to drive innovation and growth.
  • Participate in testing and implementing new software, such as project management and subtitling tools, to improve team efficiency.
  • Double-check and confirm invoices from contractors, vendors, and freelancers in a timely fashion.
  • Assist HR and management with onboarding and offboarding internal and external resources.
  • Set team meetings to update internal and external resources on best practices and continuing expectations.
  • Make a comprehensive report about team performance, project volume, margin, profit, and loss.
  • Perform other function-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics and ability to analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Decision-making skills to make informed decisions that drive business growth.
  • A degree in Management or training in team leading is a plus.
  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
  • Good negotiation skills to build strong relationships with internal and external resources.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, G-suites, and Apple computers.
  • Amenable to work in a shifting schedule and willing to work in a hybrid setup.
