The claims function serves as a strategic partner to our business segments, offering expertise, support, and partnership to guarantee an adequate Total Cost of Claim and exceptional service for individual and corporate claims.

About the Role

This position involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling complex AIG Complex Claims cases by collecting and analyzing data according to policy application and/or contract provisions.

Determining whether to accept or deny a claim based on all documentation received requires a thorough understanding of policy provisions and contract details.

Typical claims include policy cancellations due to non-payment requiring a denial letter.

Your Contributions at AIG

As a key member of our team, you will handle a monthly average of 45 new claims and 135 outstanding claims, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize professional investigation techniques to achieve timely and cost-effective closure results.
  • Maintain accurate system data and documentation, including collecting, recording, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Set appropriate reserves within authority limits and identify subrogation opportunities and potential fraud.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work with stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently.

Accountabilities:

  • Timely and accurate claim resolution minimizing indemnity exposure and vendor/ legal expenses.
  • Effective communication of key Complex claims and Auto portfolio messages to internal stakeholders.
  • Financial control through consistent reserve and financial transaction discipline.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience adjusting lower complexity claims.
  • Prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Desk Management, phone etiquette, time management, and dealing with difficult customers.

A basic knowledge of legal/regulatory and litigation/procedural requirements for their line of business is essential.
