Job Summary

The Maintenance Group Leader will be responsible for managing a small to medium-sized team of maintenance employees. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities, ensuring alignment with General Motors' maintenance systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular checks and tests to evaluate equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate evaluation results to stakeholders and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and develop effective repair plans.
  • Meet schedule and quality requirements, ensuring compliance with local and national labor agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement divisional and corporate policies, safety protocols, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Manage personnel, material, and equipment resources to optimize team performance.
  • Establish clear goals and objectives to drive team success.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, PLC programming, CNC, and troubleshooting.
  • Intermediate-level English proficiency (75%).
  • Experience in mechanical, electronic, electrical, or mechatronics engineering.
