**Job Summary:**
As a Maintenance Group Leader at General Motors, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance employees to ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. Your expertise in electrical control systems, mechanical engineering, and maintenance systems will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions, implementing preventative maintenance, and meeting schedule and quality requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct regular checks and tests to evaluate equipment performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement divisional and corporate policies, safety practices, and good housekeeping standards
- Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical problems in manufacturing operations, and design and modify electrical control circuits and programs as needed
- Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance maintenance processes and achieve scorecard metrics
- Manage work teams and resources to ensure efficient use of personnel, material, and equipment
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of maintenance systems like Maximo
- Experience with specific systems like conveyors, pumps, PLCs, and Fanuc Robots
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with manufacturing process equipment and system engineering principles
