Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our company's receivables and ensuring timely payment from customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform customer analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in collections.
- Drive collections efforts using data-driven insights and proactive communication with customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues and disputes.
- Execute outbound calls and other contact methods to customers to resolve queries and disputes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers via email, phone, and video conferencing.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with customer accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and provide accurate financial reporting.
- Provide justification for ICP gaps within the group.
- Follow up with customers regarding past-due payments and update client billing information.
- Generate and process invoices, and perform timely self-assessment for OTC controls.
- Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits.
- Analyze revenue by customer, service, and volume mix.
- Certify revenue and post tax entries on collections.
- Support MDM to create new customers and train new team members.
- Establish and follow up on performance management KPIs related to functional process areas.
- Participate in testing and implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 5-8 years of experience in accounts receivables.
- Intermediate or higher English language proficiency (oral and written).
- Prior experience with IFS system is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of end-to-end AR process and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Internet.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Confident and team player with good personal attributes.
