Technical Support Specialist - PEGA Development at Virtualent

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PEGA development, Apache Tomcat app/web server, and support experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing on-call support for customer issues and working closely with Agile teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Monitoring database performance and SQL tuning, as well as supporting Teradata BTEQ batch jobs
  • Managing File Listeners or Error Queues for API communication failure and engaging with development teams to implement solutions
  • Performing daily health checks and keeping development teams updated on planned activities

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • 5 years of experience in PEGA development, Apache Tomcat app/web server, and support
  • Strong understanding of REST services and Oracle/SQL
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile teams and communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of monitoring database performance and SQL tuning, as well as experience with Teradata BTEQ batch jobs
  • Excellent communication skills in English
