Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead a team of Controls Subject Matter Experts, Generator Subject Matter Experts, and Process & Maintenance engineers to provide technical and process support to Critical Operations teams.
- Technical Solutions: Develop and implement technical solutions to operational challenges, including unexpected system responses, design issues, and equipment failures.
- Maintenance Planning: Plan, coordinate, and manage maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Vendor Management: Select and manage vendor relationships for automation system and generator maintenance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and standards, and manage the company's compliance program for Automation/Controls and generators.
- Project Management: Work with stakeholders to develop and implement operational improvement projects aligned with budget priorities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate technical issues and develop solutions throughout the lifecycle of the data center.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve root causes of unplanned operational events.
- Training and Development: Coordinate, improve, and train on all programs related to maintenance planning and process development for the facility operations team.
- Recruitment: Work with recruiting to hire, interview, and select candidates for open positions.
- Technical Experience: 8+ years of technical experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls, or a four-year technical degree such as engineering or technical program with 6+ years experience.
- Team Management: 7+ years of experience in building, managing, and coordinating technical teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: General knowledge and understanding of applicable regulatory codes and standards.
- Communication Skills: Experience communicating and presenting technical material effectively.
- Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge and experience with complex systems, including Building Automation systems, PLC systems, DDC systems, and/or other automation/control systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Experience troubleshooting complex problems and addressing root causes by analyzing data.
- Time Management: Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Advanced Technical Experience: 10+ years experience in managing technical teams.
- Technical Degree: Four-year technical degree such as engineering or technical program.
- Data Center Experience: Experience in Data Center or other Critical Facilities strongly preferred.
- Construction and Project Management: Knowledge and experience in Construction and/or Project Management of capital projects.
- Maintenance and Continuous Improvement: Experience managing maintenance or continuous improvement programs.
- Building Controls and Automation: Experience leading building controls and automation projects.
