Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at General Fasteners De Mexico. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for handling account relationships, ensuring timely delivery of customer orders, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily purchase order entry from customers in our system
  • Follow up on critical customer parts to ensure timely delivery
  • Receive and analyze customer requirements
  • Coordinate daily material shipments
  • Inform customers of order status and provide documentation and tracking information
  • Work with Expediting to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers and recover customer-driven expedite costs
  • Coordinate with Planners to ensure material is scheduled as needed
  • Reduce Excess and Obsolete Inventory
  • Receive customer quality claims and coordinate response with Quality and DMR coordinator
  • Track and report sales and inventory data related to accounts
  • Process quotation requests
  • Coordinate with Discrepant Material Coordinator to communicate inventory needs for rejected material and replacements
  • Initiate Hot Sheets for Quality and Warehouse as needed
  • Review parts for purchase complete and minimum buys with Supply Chain
  • Coordinate with New Part Coordinator to update MPS/DRP set-ups
  • Follow up with Supplier as needed
  • Follow up with customer special orders such as surcharges, raw material, and tariff amounts

Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of fastening products (desirable)
  • Experience in customer service or material planning (desirable)
