Job Summary

The Procurement Manager, Contract Manufacturing – Northern Cluster will provide leadership and strategic direction for the Northern Cluster Contract Manufacturing organization.

This role will define and deploy strategies across multiple technologies to optimize the 3PM network, ensuring supply reliability, quality, and cost improvement programs, while enabling 3PM-based innovation to deliver top and bottom-line cost improvement.

The successful candidate will establish strong supplier relationships, effectively manage the category supply base, perform advanced and intricate negotiations, and oversee supplier selection, onboarding, and offboarding of key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of Northern Cluster 3PM commitments of Cost, Cash, Supplier Reduction, Compliance, Quality, Customer Service, Delivered Profit, and Sales Growth
  • Partner with regional supply chain leadership team to develop and deploy mid-long-term network and technologies' strategies to drive performance, improve cost competitiveness, and reduce complexity
  • Own the 3PM network optimization plan design and its deployment, including the identification, selection, onboarding, and offboarding of 3PMs
  • Lead go-to-market activities (RFI/RFPs) focused on total cost of ownership, technical capabilities, and operational effectiveness
  • Own the commercial relationship and development of strategic partnerships with 3PMs
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of supply contracts and pricing negotiation strategies
  • Point of escalation for supply-related issues, developing governance to monitor performance and drive issue resolution
  • Drive adherence to processes in alignment with global procurement policy
  • Lead/support cross-functional value engineering and teardown programs to optimize product cost structure
  • Partner with regional supply chain strategy on defining priority segments sourcing model and resiliency plans
  • Partner with RD&E and the global/regional marketing team to develop programs for 3PM-based innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field
  • 5+ years progressive experience in procurement, manufacturing, and/or planning, including 2+ years in procurement role(s)
  • Full proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of delivering results in a cross-functional environment
  • Experienced in development and management of contractual relations with external manufacturers
  • Proficient interpersonal/communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and convey strategies and complex concepts across senior levels in the organization
  • Operate well in a highly demanding fast-paced organization and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Business acumen and understanding of financial management principles
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and ability to navigate difficult situations, assess risks, and build contingency plans to minimize business disruption
  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on optimization and capabilities upgrade
  • MS skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and SAP knowledge
  • Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously, effectively managing outcomes and leveraging business acumen to meet organizational objectives
  • Experience with Contract Manufacturing Procurement or Direct Material Procurement preferred

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 10% within Northern Cluster
