As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting tax compliance activities and ensuring that our company remains compliant with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**



* Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and provide guidance on tax strategy to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
* Assist the Tax Manager in providing guidance to GBS and Finance personnel on tax-related matters.
* Be responsible for tax file control, including CUCA, CUFIN, ISR, electronic accounting, and attending SAT and financial requirements.
* Ensure the determination of loss or gain on sale of assets, fixed assets, and VAT payable and refunds.
* Review all documentation support for VAT tax refunds requested for SAT.
* Prepare federal and local corporate income tax returns and supporting workpapers.
* Assist with the preparation of the company's income tax provision, including the reconciliation of deferred tax, tax payable, and reserve accounts.
* Manage the timely and accurate filing of all relevant annual and quarterly tax returns and reports.
* Ensure the correct computation of tax accruals for monthly and annual financial reporting, ensuring correct tax reporting for both local financials and corporate reporting, working closely with GBS and LEC.
* Provide support in the implementation of new systems, including graphic scanning systems, to ensure compliance with tax legislation.
* Manage the timely payment of all tax liabilities.
* Track and prepare deferred tax (ISR) calculation and computation.
* Maintain the custody of all accounting records as prescribed under the income tax and service tax legislation.
* Deal with federal and state income tax audits when necessary, including compiling necessary documentation, reports, or analytics, and other activities as required.
* Keep the accounting system up to date and ensure the correctness of transactions involving tax implications.
* Follow tax reserves and approve these with the Tax Manager and LATAM Tax Head.
* Support the Mexico Tax Manager on transfer pricing issues and requests.
* Assist with other international, federal, and state income tax issues and projects as assigned.

**Requirements:**

* CPA degree.
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar.
* 5-6 years of experience in similar positions, preferably in multinational or regional companies.
* Former Big Four employee is a plus.
* Advanced English language skills.
* Technical skills: mathematics, good letter drafting skills for making submissions to government authorities.
* Soft skills: proactive, active listening, critical thinking, active learning, well-organized, works with method and order, able to defend their position, able to negotiate with clients and establish good relations complying with corporate policies and local laws, capable of taking challenges and handling pressures, self-motivated, and problem-solving attitude.
* Product-specific knowledge: accounting, corporate taxation, VAT tax, other indirect taxes (preferable).
* Process-specific knowledge: economics and accounting, knowledge of law (preferable).
* Tools-specific knowledge: Windows, internet tools, basic MS Office (Excel, Macros, Word, PowerPoint), accounting systems knowledge: SAP - Media Plus, Hyperion, Magnitude, etc. (is a plus).
