Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Operations to join our team at Enovis. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production functions, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of our business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement action plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
  • Supervise and evaluate procedures to upgrade production methods, equipment utilization, and quality of finished goods
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend development/succession/training plans for direct staff
  • Lead R&D meetings to drive innovation and improvement in product engineering concepts, manufacturing, and quality
  • Review engineering designs to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality and value through awareness, objectives, goals, communication, and target setting
  • Formulate, negotiate, and manage departmental objectives and budgets
  • Validate and authorize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production functions
  • Responsible for selecting, training, motivating, and developing production staff
  • Collaborate with corporate offices to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Direct staff to ensure correct launch of BOMs, routings, test equipment, PMs, and other critical processes
  • Establish metrics and monitor project progress
  • Provide timely feedback to staff to ensure compliance with established objectives
  • Direct continuous improvement projects in conjunction with OpEx (Operational Excellence)
  • Interact with corporate functional areas to ensure timely responses to internal and external customers
  • Establish operating procedures and standards (SOPs) for all engineering functions

Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Electronic Engineering
  • Master's degree in senior management or managerial administration (desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Manager or Director of Engineering in high-volume assembly industry (desirable medical industry) with extensive administrative knowledge in manufacturing processes
  • Advanced English fluency for project presentations and negotiation processes
  • Knowledge in Administration and budget control, Lean Manufacturing Tools, Six Sigma, Project Management, Supply Chain, Reengineering, and MTM
