Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Cost Specialist to join our team at Omega 365. As a key member of our Project Services group, you will assist the Topsides Cost Controller in the execution and management of Vendor Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of monthly and ad hoc Cost Reports/Forecasts.
  • Maintain files/logs/registers to monitor budget utilization, budget changes, purchase orders, incurred costs, invoices, and forecasts in accordance with Cost Accounts.
  • Support the development of resource profiles in alignment with scheduled activities.
  • Assist in the analysis of contractor timesheet and cost data to assess cost against budget and forecast impacts.
  • Administer Purchase Orders, including requisition initiation.
  • Assist in the assessment of incurred costs for various vendors, considering hours at site and related expenses.
  • Support the Change Management Procedure in consultation with the Change Management Coordinator and Topsides Cost Controller.
  • Interface with Vendors, Cost Control, Planning, Estimating / Supply Chain Management, Project Management/Engineering, Construction management and Commissioning teams, and other project disciplines as required.
  • Attend meetings with the Project / Construction Management Team, and contractors to support discussions related to the responsibilities above.
  • Support the development of presentations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Business; P. Tech.
  • 1 to 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a project environment would be an asset.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point is a must).
  • Ability to clearly communicate with team members, contractors, and between site and office personnel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple different teams, companies, and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.
