About the Role

As a Software Technical Reviewer on our Storage Open Source compliance and licensing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and security of our software development processes. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be essential in preparing Open Source use proposals, conducting due diligence reviews, and analyzing code scans for legal review and approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IBM Storage development teams to prepare Open Source use proposals and conduct due diligence reviews
  • Analyze code scans for legal review and approval to meet product release schedules
  • Develop and maintain tooling and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Take on additional responsibilities as necessary to support the team's goals

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and advanced English language skills
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development with exposure to testing, development, build, or project management
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or similar
  • Ability to learn new technologies and review development software for Open Source presence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Open-Source software, concepts, and licensing
  • Experience with Linux distributions
  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools and automation frameworks such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker
