About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer - Marine and Ports Specialist to join our team at ABB Schweiz AG. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for conducting repairs, identifying technical problems, and analyzing them on-site (offshore/dry docks).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting repairs and maintenance on marine and ports equipment
  • Identifying and analyzing technical problems on-site
  • Coordinating and preparing materials, parts, and equipment for repairs
  • Preparing standard lists, documents, and reports for customers
  • Reporting work done in a timely manner and following up as needed
  • Identifying potential equipment failures and taking corrective actions
  • Making suggestions for product, quality, and customer service improvements
  • Ensuring high standards of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or installation services in process automation and/or Marine and Ports industry
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Knowledge of interpretation of one-line diagrams and control schematics
  • Knowledge of test equipment (network analyzers, meggers, multimeters)
  • Valid visa and passport (desirable)
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus) and PLC programming (plus)
  • Knowledge of frequency converters (valuable)
