Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Executive to join our team at Daniel J Edelman Holdings. As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in managing daily account work, leading small projects, and contributing to larger projects as directed by project leaders.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage small projects and contribute to larger projects as directed by project leaders
  • Supervise account work done by more junior staff
  • Learn Edelman's various Communications Marketing processes/approaches, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, social media campaigns, and stakeholder mapping exercises
  • Support account teams in the execution of these processes for clients
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of integrated Communications Marketing principles and strategies
  • Demonstrate understanding of key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products, and services
  • Demonstrate understanding of and implements public engagement and social media programs
  • Manage media relations by identifying and working with target media and demonstrating a network of traditional and online media contacts and influencers
  • Write press materials and internal communications
  • Edit and proofread written materials for quality and adherence to appropriate writing style
  • Develop client interaction skills
  • Implement traditional and online research techniques
  • Demonstrate understanding of how to use and apply basic social media tools to client objectives
  • Participate and assist in program brainstorming, development, and planning
  • Manage projects using organizational skills, working with colleagues, vendors, and support agencies, and keeping project leaders apprised of status
  • Provide account administration, including meeting deadlines, troubleshooting problems, attending client meetings and conference calls, and reporting activity and coverage
  • Coordinate Communications Marketing tactics by managing workflow, logistics, and interaction with media and influencers
  • Demonstrate understanding of project budget parameters, pricing structures, and overservice
  • Record and submit time, expenses, and POs to the right project codes on a timely basis
  • Manage third-party vendors

**Requirements**

  • At least one year of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media, or publishing
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
  • Intricate level of understanding of the account(s), the clients' businesses, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, opposition, etc.
  • Solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts/relationships
  • Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies
