**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Actively participate as a strategic partner and advisor to senior management team in Mexico, contributing to the development of short- and long-term strategies; take a lead role in determining the major HR implications of those strategies, balancing business perspective with the needs of individual employees and alignment with the Bank's and HR objectives.
  • Define and develop the Mexican HR strategy and corresponding tactical execution plans to ensure alignment with the values and HR philosophies and achievement of the Bank's overall goals.
  • Identify people's capabilities required for current and future success in Scotiabank, taking actions to attract, retain, and grow the talent required through leadership resource planning, recruiting, performance measurement, developmental priorities, and career opportunities.
  • Identify and lead the implementation of HR programs that will support the success of the local short and long-term strategies and ensure they continue to meet BNS current/future needs, reflect the corporate values, and adhere to guidelines.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing human resources strategies, plans, policies, and programs.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive a customer-focused culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior management team members and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the banking industry and its trends.
