Produce Sales Specialist

Our products empower farmers and enable buyers and consumers to receive fresher produce more efficiently, while helping to eliminate over 50% of global economic waste. At the intersection of technology, finance, and agriculture, the ProducePay marketplace is building a better supply chain for fresh produce, creating transparency and placing trust at the center of every transaction.
We are seeking a dynamic Produce Sales Trader to become an integral part of the Marketplace team. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of our Marketplace customers, helping them find and trade with the best counterparty(s). This position requires close collaboration with our customers and a desire to become an expert in fresh produce trading. A successful Produce Trader will help our customers get the most out of our services and collaborate effectively across our sales, engineering, and operations teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Marketplace account management matters.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Act as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas, including product, operations, and sales.
- Influence customer lifetime value through higher product adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Take ownership of customers' issues and follow problems through to resolution.
- Meet weekly and monthly quotas regarding client adoption and trading volume.
**Requirements:**
A 4-year college degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or similar customer-facing roles; sales experience is required.
- 1-2 years of produce background in sales or quality assurance positions are preferred.
- A strong "hunter" background is highly preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter that thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced startup environment with the demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate, and work well with others.
- Strong sense of ownership and drive to accomplish what is necessary to solve problems.
- A highly collaborative individual with a team-first mentality.
- Excited to problem solve and adapt within a high-growth, evolving business.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Unlimited ability to travel.
