Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at S&P Global Mobility. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and growing our Light Vehicle Sales Forecasting service, which is a key component of our global automotive marketplace offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the Mexican light vehicle market to create accurate forecasts, custom reports, and intelligence briefings for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key contacts in the Mexico region automotive market to validate data and exchange intelligence.
- Assist in maintaining S&P Global Mobility's Light Vehicle Sales Forecasts and related products, including Global Forecast Scenario Services.
- Develop and implement demand forecasting models, utilizing data coordination, data analysis, and market forecasting techniques.
- Conduct powertrain forecasting, interpreting regulation and industry decarbonization research, and analyzing regional and OEM-level sales-based powertrain forecasts.
- Develop and maintain stable data workflows/pipelines from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-regional and cross-team projects as needed, providing analytical support and expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Python, KNIME, Alteryx, R, or similar.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish at a business level, with knowledge of additional languages a plus.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess and interpret complex data.
- Well-developed relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
