About the Role

The Commercial Strategies Senior Analyst is a key professional role within Citi's Product Management and Development team. This position plays a crucial part in driving business growth by developing and implementing commercial strategies that enhance customer experiences and drive incremental revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with top merchants to coordinate, create, and deliver promotions and spend strategies that drive incremental numbers and exclusive experiences for clients using Citi's products.
  • Integrate payments, e-commerce, and industry knowledge to implement strategies and improve them as needed to achieve expected business results.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement communication and media strategies for promotions and commercial deals targeting specific clients.
  • Assist in the implementation of industry-wide campaigns and tailored strategies across merchants and Citi's consuming products.
  • Analyze P&L, data, and results to inform decision-making and better understand business objectives.
  • Support merchants and cross-functional teams in developing skills needed to offer better payments experiences aligned with client needs, and propose solutions in line with business objectives.
  • Require in-depth understanding of how other areas such as business intelligence, fraud, authorizations, acquirement, legal, and others collectively integrate and coordinate to contribute to the overall business objectives.
  • Apply disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows for the area or function, and to attract new merchants and business opportunities.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Commercial Strategies, Payments, Product Management, and/or Product Development discipline.
  • Understanding of logistics or industrial verticals experience with bank products, payments, monthly installments, e-commerce, and promotions solutions preferred.
  • Fluent in English, capable of conducting business conversations and responding to emails effectively.
  • Good social skills, ability to build relationships, communicate with others, and speak in public.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint as fundamental work tools.
  • Apply judgment to solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Use quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions.
  • Ability to apply ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations.
  • Demonstrate confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior managers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in handling and managing stress appropriately.
  • Skilled in preparing executive presentations.
Education
  • Bachelor's/University degree (administration, marketing, international business, finance, communication).
