Job Summary

The Payroll Operations Specialist will be responsible for executing payroll processes, benefits orders related to payroll, approving and releasing bank deposits, generating GL reports for the BU finance areas, and creating SOX and US GAP reports for compliance purposes. This role will also be responsible for executing special payroll processes, such as Christmas bonus, closure of savings funds cycle, profit sharing calculation, and supporting audits and certification processes related to taxes and from the BU's.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute 100% accurate and on-time payroll calculations for all BU's based on the payroll period.
  • Provide feedback to local HR Teams at the locations about payments/deductions requests and T&A submissions in every process.
  • Ensure accurate and correct loads of information from Workday, inputs for payroll and T&A into Meta4 every payroll process.
  • Generate weekly compliance reports to reconcile payroll calculations.
  • Generate weekly disbursement reports to reconcile bank deposits and checks.
  • Generate benefits orders related to payroll, such as food stamps, short-term savings funds, every payroll process, ensuring on-time delivery/payment and correct issue of invoices for the company.
  • Generate requests for payments to the BU's finance areas for payroll benefits vendors, such as union, Fonacot, food stamps, and other.
  • Perform monthly tax adjustments and validate results for applicable companies.
  • Maintain and retain documentation of payroll execution for compliance purposes.
  • Execute out-of-cycle payments and urgent termination payments.
  • Provide payroll support, expertise, and guidance for internal/external customer inquiries.
  • Research tax laws and regulations on transactional tax issues and regular operations.
  • Support company projects, identify internal GAPS or improvements, and participate actively in implementation.
  • Assist with other projects/programs as necessary.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
  • 2 years of payroll execution experience: employees.
  • Specialized knowledge: Annual technical courses updates, excellent management of Microsoft Excel.
  • Skills: Strong technical and project skills.
  • Abilities: Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple concurrent situations and meet deadlines. Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and tactfully, both verbally and in writing. Technical proficiency with strong analytical and research skills. Must have an ability to interface with other departments in a manner that will professionally represent the department. Support all processes in the area, information analysis, database migration, loads of mass movements, reporting, and controls.
  • Languages: Due to the global nature of the role, proficiency in English language is a must.
