Job Overview:

A Project Financial Management Specialist is required to work closely with project managers and teams in a global engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling finance performance, preparing financial reports, and analyzing variance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control finance performance of assigned project portfolio.
  • Analyze monthly actuals vs as-sold vs latest forecast and prepare margin waterfall analysis.
  • Generate accurate and timely project forecast and actual reporting.
  • Identify mitigating actions to protect and improve project margin.
  • Establish/improve project governance processes.
  • Track external and internal orders associated with the project.
  • Report accurate end-to-end project profitability.
  • Escalate material issues promptly.
  • Improve and simplify project financial controlling processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Prior experience as Controller and/or Senior Finance analyst required.
  • 5-7 years in a project controlling role in a complex global engineering environment.
  • Challenge the status quo and provide world-class project financial reporting and analysis.
  • Successful experience in partnering with project managers to improve profitability.
  • Knowledge of project cost control and POC accounting/PA module in Oracle or equivalent.

Estimated Salary:
$95,000 - $110,000 per annum based on location and experience.
