About the Role:
Littelfuse, a leading global manufacturer of electronic components, is seeking a skilled Logistics Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for executing site-related logistics for developing and improving costs and processes at our Eagle Pass/Piedras Negras location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the material flow in and out of the cross dock, ensuring the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure completion of all required documentation and maintain all data and related records to inbound and outbound shipments.
- Research and resolve shipping/receiving discrepancies, including shortages, overages, damages, and file claims with respective carriers.
- Oversee completion of pickup appointments, quoting hotshots, NFO, and dedicated carriers upon request.
- Primary contact for carrier for providing proper transportation instructions.
- Accurately and timely monitor shipments in transit and report back to the respective business units.
- Negotiate local trucking rates, perform analysis, and quantify, recommend, and execute transportation cost savings projects.
- Oversee daily transportation operations and determine root cause for expedites/deviations.
- Provide transportation guidance for all N. America sites and suppliers.
- Audit On Time Service response of forwarders and ensure timely monitoring of shipments both inbound and outbound.
- Monitor carrier daily in transit report to ensure on-time receiving and tracking outbound shipments to meet target of 99% DSP.
- Escalate issues with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Coordinate with NADC and other business units for Importations, receiving, and traffic.
- Service upgrades for late shipments as a result of border crossing delays and assistance on booking pickups for suppliers who cannot book on their side.
- Rerouting of materials shipped incorrectly.
- Direct backup for Logistics Supervisor.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, shipping, or inventory control.
- WMS experience is desired.
- Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- SAP experience is required.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral (English and Spanish).
