Job Summary


The Front Desk Supervisor at Marriott International, Inc will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless check-in experience. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.



About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves working on a daily basis with guests, staff, and management to ensure that all aspects of front desk operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask efficiently.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist guests with expediting problem payments and resolving any issues related to their stay.


  2. Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.


  3. Count bank at the beginning and end of each shift and balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.


  4. Work closely with Housekeeping to track the readiness of rooms for check-in and ensure that all rooms are cleaned and prepared for new guests.


  5. Anticipate sold-out situations and obtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations.


  6. Contact appropriate individuals or departments as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.


  7. Maintain accurate accounts for each guest upon check-in and ensure that all financial transactions are processed correctly.


  8. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.


  9. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and perform other reasonable job duties as requested.




Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.


  • At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.


  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional guest service.


  • Strong leadership skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.




Benefits

Marttiott International offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
