**Role Overview**

As a key member of the Uber team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the merchandising strategy and operations for our New Verticals business. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving growth and improving the overall experience for consumers, merchants, and earners in Mexico. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build a compelling app experience, leveraging your knowledge of site merchandising, selection, and digital products.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Partner with merchandising ops, marketing, operations, product, Legal, and Sales teams to drive business growth and improve user experience.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to enhance business operations efficiency.
  • Lead execution of programmatic improvements on critical business goals related to merchant strategy, selection optimization, and site merchandising.
  • Establish and leverage collaborative relationships with merchants and partner collaborators in Mexico.
  • Develop digital merchandising expertise within the organization, driving operational excellence across the consumer journey.
  • Build customer-centric and product-driven selection and site merchandising strategies for Mexico.
  • Identify and recommend optimizations for program execution based on customer insights, customer feedback, and assessment of business results.
  • Partner with key collaborators in Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Product to assess impact and gain alignment with broader business goals.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in marketing, merchandising, operations, and/or strategy roles with a desire to expand abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of site merchandising, selection, catalog, item data, and digital products.
  • Understanding of merchandising strategy, planning, and execution and the underlying technology used to deliver merchandising experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience problem-solving and proposing outstanding solutions to complex issues.
  • Strong experience building and driving complex processes.
  • Proven track record to balance multiple critical tasks and consistently delivering.
  • Strong collaboration and partner management skills – building deep, trust-based relationships with territory and cross-functional teams.
  • Unparalleled business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly develop strategies and make decisions.
  • Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
  • We would love if you have experience working with SQL.
