Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Leader to join our team at Schneider Electric Gruppe. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective deployment of our purchasing strategy across the cluster, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and maintaining accurate purchasing databases.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, propose, and execute cost reduction initiatives, including quality improvements, supplier changes, and negotiations.
  • Maintain and update purchasing databases with regular and timely information.
  • Support commodity management strategies by consulting with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing price, lead times, payment terms, inventory levels, etc.
  • Lead or support supply qualification system activities in accordance with defined responsibility matrices.
Requirements:
  • University/College degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Project Management.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Understanding of engineering/manufacturing processes is beneficial.
Desirable Skills:
  • Supplier chain knowledge, including supplier management, cost analysis, market analysis, inventory management, etc.
  • Quality knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity for problem analysis and synthesis.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Inter cultural skills, team spirit, result-oriented.
  • Database management skills are a plus.
